Craig Williams and Nash Rawiller will know on Monday whether they are able to ride in the Melbourne Cup.
The leading jockeys both had appeals against careless riding suspensions dismissed by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Friday and took their cases to the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal.
VCAT will hear their applications for a stay of proceedings on Monday, the day before the Cup at Flemington.
Williams has been booked for second favourite, French horse Dunaden, while Rawiller’s mount is the Mick Kent-trained Unusual Suspect.
If he can win the Melbourne Cup, Williams will become the first jockey to claim the Caulfield Cup-Cox Plate-Cup treble in the same year.
